ELAINE HULTGREN

Elaine Hultgren comes from a fine and commercial art background, graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a 4 year certificate majoring in painting with a minor in printmaking. She holds a certificate of completion from the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden's program of botanical art and illustration. Her artwork and scientific illustrations have been exhibited in shows, museums, and galleries and are included in private collections. Elaine worked in the field of animation for over 25 years, storyboarding, directing and producing for television and film and has taught storyboarding and animation workshops to both elementary and college levels and has taught nature and bird sketching at the Tracy Aviary, Salt Lake City, UT. Today Elaine is an instructor of botanical art and illustration at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix and is working as a scientific illustrator on various projects.
