Instructor: BENJAMIN KUHNS

BENJAMIN KUHNS

Ben's time as an overweight, happy baby was spent in Lincoln, NE. At the age of five, he packed his prized set of Legos and moved to Logan, UT, with family in tow, where he would spend most of his childhood. He moved to Salt Lake City to study graphic design at the University of Utah but sadly, that didn't work out when he realized that his first love was the camera. He and his best friend started making pixels together in the bowels of dirty, abandoned industry. Fast forward, and you find Ben serving as the photo studio manager for the Backcountry.com family of e-commerce websites. He does not shoot weddings.

"Ben Kuhns is a great instructor who really knows how to impart his knowledge and make the class fun and interesting as well as informative. We also had a terrific field trip to his place of employment to understand how the principles of product photography are used in the everyday world."
