ALEXANDER SPRINGER

Alex Springer grew up in West Jordan, UT where trips to Chuck-A-Rama and Arctic Circle formed the foundation of his unique perspective on the Wasatch Front's nuanced food scene. In between trips to local restaurants, he managed to get a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah and taught high school English for seven years. His affection for visiting both dive bars and swanky hotspots led him to pursue freelance writing for local publications like SLUG Magazine and Utah Business Magazine. After a few years as an A&E contributor for Salt Lake City Weekly, Alex became the alt-weekly's resident food dude and has been writing the dining column for just over five years. Alex currently lives in South Jordan with his wife Sheree and his daughter Juniper.
