PATRICIA HENRIE

I grew up pretty much all over the world and went to 13 different schools. This was a great education for me and as I learned to be resilient and make friends quickly. I learned to love Psychology from my high school teacher my senior year when I became fascinated with the mind and why people do what they do. I received my BS in Psychology from BYU and then proceeded to raise 5 wonderful children. I now have 6 grandchildren.
I got my MS from BYU and I received my Ph.D. from the University of Utah in Counseling Psychology. I have had a private practice for the past 14 years and specialize in pain management, and addictions, depressive and anxiety disorders. I consider myself a solution oriented positive psychologist. My dissertation was on gratitude and I have been fascinated by how the lives of my clients have changed by using positive principles. I am presently developing assessment tools to be used by doctors to screen their patients for psychological disorders. In my spare time I love to ski, dance, play tennis and travel.
