WILLIAM STEENBURGH

Jim Steenburgh has a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington and a B.S.
in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University. His research interests include synoptic and mesoscale
meteorology over complex terrain, orographic and lake-effect precipitation, urban and arid-land meteorology, and weather analysis and forecasting. He is the chair of the department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Utah.
