RICHARD ALVAREZ

Rick Alvarez has a B.S. in Operations Research from the US Naval Academy and an M.A. in History and a Ph.D. in Middle East History from the University of Utah. He served as a US Navy fighter pilot and as an instructor for the Imperial Iranian Air Force in Isfahan, Iran. Rick retired as a Delta Air Lines Captain in 2004, and subsequently taught World History and Latin American History as an adjunct at the U of U and Salt Lake Community College.
