RAYMOND GESTELAND

Dr. Raymond F. Gesteland has a B.S. in chemistry and an M.S. in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Harvard University. He is emeritus faculty in the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Utah. During his time at the U, Dr. Gesteland served as chairman and professor of Human Genetics, director of NIH Utah Center for Human Genome Research, and Vice President for Research. He is the recipient of the Helen Lowe Bamberger Colby Presidential Endowed Chair in Human Genetics.
