Marie Cornwall recently retired from Brigham Young University where she was a Professor of Sociology. Her expertise focused on social change, family, gender, and religion. She was editor of the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion as well as executive officer of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion. She spent a year at the University of Utah as recipient of the Belle Spafford Chair in the College of Social Work. She is currently on the advisory board of the newly established Aileen H. Clyde 20th Century Women's Legacy Archive, a Special Collection of the J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah.
