Dr. Warner Woodworth is a Global Social Entrepreneur and Professor Emeritus at the Marriott School of Business, Brigham Young University where he has taught Microcredit and Social Entrepreneurship and is author of 10 books and over 320 articles. He has been engaged in empowering the poor for over three decades. He holds an MA and PhD in organizational behavior from the University of Michigan. Warner has helped found and/or served on the boards of some 41 NGOs and projects including Mentors International (7 countries), Ouelessebougou Alliance (Mali), Unitus (23 nations), and HELP International (14 countries), among others. In 2019 alone, these NGOs grew to over 7.6 million clients living sustainably as our groups collectively raised $28 million and trained over 347,000 microentrepreneurs. Dr. Woodworth has been honored with the Faculty Pioneer Award for his global impacts from the Aspen Institute in New York City, the Social Entrepreneurship Teaching Award at the Skoll World Forum, Oxford University, and he became the first Peter Drucker Visiting Scholar of Social Innovation at the Drucker School of Management, Claremont University in LA, among other recognitions. He was also appointed by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus to the Advisory Board of Grameen America in New York.
