COLETTE HERRICK

Colette is an executive coach and organizational consultant who brings a rich perspective from over thirty years in diverse clinical, corporate and consulting positions. Informed by her first-hand experiences leading teams in complex environments, she understands the challenges leaders face as well as the premium value of collaborative, innovative workplaces.

She brings strategic insight, passionate commitment and pragmatic methods to every project. These methods are designed to foster learning and integration that have an enduring impact long after an engagement is completed.

Beginning in clinical health care, she served as Chief Cardiac Transplant Coordinator at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. In 1990, she joined a biotech division of Johnson & Johnson and served as an immunobiology product specialist, trainer for national and international affiliates and manager for immunobiology teams in more than half the geographic United States. She later joined a start-up biopharmaceutical company in the bay area and served as the Director of New Business Development.

In 2002, with an ever-evolving curiosity and focus on "what creates excellence in leadership, on teams and in organizations" she retooled to live her vision of contributing to positive change in health care. Since that time, she has provided leadership coaching to physicians, CEOs, VPs, executive directors, and managers in health care and other sectors.

A sampling of recent organizational projects include: facilitating the development of a shared vision and strategic initiatives (Microsoft Latam, Atento and Sykes); engaging a large healthcare institution in a whole-system strategic planning process (Huntsman Cancer Institute); and engaging hundreds of physician leaders in a process to build collaborative leadership (American Medical Association).

A seasoned facilitator, trainer, coach, and dedicated student-of-life, she is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah. She holds degrees in nursing and communications, is a Certified Integral Coach, Integrative Movement Coach, Certified in the Leadership Circle Assessment Tools and Workshops and The Grove Principles of Facilitation. She has authored more than a dozen articles published in journals such as: the American Journal of Medicine, International Journal of Heart Transplantation, Critical Care Quarterly, Nursing Forum and the AI Practitioner.
