David Blain has spent his career in advertising leading successful agencies that have served clients ranging from theme parks to technology to travel and tourism to automotive and entertainment. Launching his advertising career in Los Angeles as an account coordinator at D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, David climbed the agency ranks and later returned to Utah to work at DSW/Partners. In 1995, David co-founded Blain Olsen White Gurr Advertising--an agency that would be recognized by the INC 500 as one of America's fastest growing private companies. B/O/W/G would continue to win awards, and was selected twice by the Utah 100 as one of the fastest growing companies in Utah.
David was recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2001 for his work as a co-founder of B/O/W/G. In 2007 David merged B/O/W/G with Rare Method in Calgary, Canada.
David currently serves as the President of Saxton Horne Advertising (part of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies), where he has lead the agency to achieve record revenue and net profit since joining the agency in 2011. In 2016 David was honored by the American Advertising Federation, Utah Chapter with their Silver Medal, the highest honor given to a member for a lifetime contribution to the advertising community.
