SHANE RUSSELL

During the past four years, Shane has worked within the family of FJ Management (FJM) businesses. FJM owns and oversees the operations of several subsidiaries including Maverik Convenience Stores, Big West Oil Refinery and Pilot Flying J. Shane currently works for Maverik as the Sr. Data Analyst in the Operation Department. In his role, he manages large amounts of data to help the company maximize operational efficiency. Skills critical to his role include data extraction, validation, interpretation, and presentation. Prior to his career with FJM, Shane worked in business development at a Salt Lake area based marketing startup for five years; the company was later successfully sold to a private equity group. During this time, Shane also worked as an associate for the University Impact Fund and University Venture fund performing due diligence and value-add projects for startups around the globe.
Shane holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Utah State University. He earned an MBA from Utah State University and a Master of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Utah. In his free time, Shane enjoys shooting sports (especial precision rifle), GT car racing, skiing powder, and reading.
