ALEXANDRA PORPORA

Alex is a native Floridian who relocated to Utah in 2009. In Salt Lake City she found solace in the mountains, salty inland sea, and not having to worry about running into alligators. She combined her love of education, the outdoors, science and the arts with her Master's in Environmental Humanities at the University of Utah, creating curriculum focused on place-based learning and the natural history of the Wasatch Front. When she's not geeking out about something related to environmental education, Alex can be found riding her bike, shredding green ski runs, sailing on the Great Salt Lake or kicking back to Neil DeGrasse Tyson's latest podcast.
