This alignment based Hatha yoga class is a continuation of Yoga 1057/057. Students will expand their yoga practice through foundations of alignment, breath work, primary poses, sequences, and variations. We will learn additional meditation techniques and dig deeper in yoga philosophy. We will be studying all eight limbs of yoga with a focus on the first two limbs, the Yamas and the Niyamas. Although the main style of the class is Hatha, we will also study Vinyasa flow, restorative and yoga nidra. Upon completion of this course you will receive a CR (2.0 credits). If you have failed to fulfill the course’s requirements you will receive a NC (non-credit). All ESSF classes are for credit or no credit. Students will not be receiving a letter grade.
This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.
Online book and material fees may be added up until the first week of class. Students may opt out during the first two weeks of class. For more information, visit the Campus Store Inclusive Access Program's webpage. If you opt out, you will be responsible for obtaining the course materials yourself for the course.
