Selection of topics addressing issues and developments or special readings selected by professor to broaden students' background not covered in currently established African American courses.

This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Online book and material fees may be added up until the first week of class. Students may opt out during the first two weeks of class. For more information, visit the Campus Store Inclusive Access Program's webpage. If you opt out, you will be responsible for obtaining the course materials yourself for the course.

Class Sections For Black Women's History (ETHNC 485)

Fall 2025 Section 1, Starting on: 08/18/2025

From Monday, August 18-Wednesday, October 1, the class will meet in person. From Monday, October 13-Wednesday, December 3, the class will meet on Zoom. Visits to Special Collections at the Marriott Library are required parts of the class. The instructor will communicate the dates for the library sessions. If students cannot visit the library in person, they can schedule a one-on-one video or phone call with one of our class librarians.
