Snowshoeing techniques in the Utah's Uinta mountains, including winter safety and backcountry travel techniques. Also includes study of recreation management implications associated with snowshoeing in the Uinta mountains. Overnight camping.
This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Explore the Unita mountains when traveling peacefully by snowshoe. We will discuss winter safety and backcountry travel techniques in addition to studying the recreation management implications associated with snowshoeing in the Uintas. Overnight camping. Attendance at the first class meeting is mandatory. Drops not possible after the 2nd day following this meeting. Class meets Nov 11 only. Field experience Nov 22-24.
