MINDY MORTENSEN

Mindy Mortensen has been gardening her whole life, but after receiving her Botany degree from Weber State University in 1998 she has really developed a passion for teaching others about plants. Helping people grow their own food is specifically something she feels driven to do. You will also find her doing landscape consulting for fellow Northern Utahns for the past 27 years, helping families find the perfect tree for their landscape, or the best place to have a veggie garden, or even how to incorporate chickens and ducks into their backyard ecosystem. When she is not teaching or consulting, Mindy lives with her husband and 4 kids, grows a very large garden, volunteers as registrar on the local mountain bike team, spends time with her amazing kids and takes care of a bunch of chickens, ducks, and dogs.
