AMBER DEBIRK

Amber DeBirk is a glass artist from Salt Lake City, Utah who has experimented with fused glass for nearly 10 years. "Glass is an exquisite medium to work with, it has amazing versatility and transmits brilliant qualities as the colors change with light," says Amber. Because glass is a liquid even in its seemingly solid state, it has reflective qualities that change with each viewing position. Amber truly enjoys sharing her love of glass with her students and just loves to teach. She attended Westminster College and holds a teaching minor in art, with an emphasis in ceramics and photography. Amber has been experimenting with recycled glass fusing and glass "painting". Amber's current work, "Art with a View - Recycled Glass Paintings and Sculpture" will be on display at numerous galleries this year.
