Instructor: TARA FOSTER

TARA FOSTER

Tara's journey into the world of stained glass began with an internship at a local stained glass shop in Salt Lake City following my graduation in music performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (2017). This hands-on internship allowed her to develop my skills not only in traditional stained glass but fused and leaded glass techniques. For the last 5 years Tara been invited annually to assist renowned artist Wesley Wong at the Glass Craft & Bead Expo in Las Vegas. During the expo she helps teach fused glass techniques to students from across the country. Tara started teaching the copper foil technique in the Life Long Learning program in 2021 and plans to continue teaching for the foreseeable future.

In addition to her passion for stained glass, she finds joy in the great outdoors. Hiking and backpacking offer her a chance to recharge and connect with nature's beauty while checking off bucket list hikes such as Mt. Elbert, Ibapah Peak, King's Peak, Rim-to-Rim, and Half Dome. During the winter months you will find her snowboarding at the local ski resorts, Brighton is her favorite.
