CHARLOTTE DURIF

I'm Charlotte, a French expat based in Salt Lake City, UT. I grew up loving to be in the kitchen of our backcountry house in France, learning from my grand parents and parents how to make a marbled chocolate cake, prepare a paella, and flip crepes on a pan. We never ate out and we would cook everyday. When I moved out of the family home, having a good kitchen was definitely a big criteria for me to keep cooking and baking as I needed and experimenting new recipes.

After completing my PhD in Material Science in 2017, my husband and I left for an exhilarating 18 months rock climbing World Tour. We shared our travels with our family and community through over 100 vlogs via our media company Cold House Media, which is how I learnt to craft, film and edit videos, all on the go. We settled in SLC at the beginning of 2019 and I was so happy to have a fully equipped kitchen again! While I continued filmmaking, I realized that cooking was actually my favorite thing to do, so I decided to share my love for food and cooking professionally.
