I was born in Germany but raised in the mountains of Utah for the majority of my life. With this background I loved to learn about and explore different cultures and traditions. A lot of my inspiration comes from learning about these places and their styles of art, nature is my other big inspiration, being from the Wasatch mountains it's hard not to be inspired by the beauty of nature. I have always done some form of art, as far back as I can remember.
It started at a very young age with drawing, painting and sculpture then moved into textile art, performance art, fashion and design and currently, my true love, jewelry.
Jewelry making had always been a side hobby for me, something I did just for myself. I started in my teens with wire jewelry and after years of doing that I wanted more. I craved the ability to create my own charms and design elements, set stones and add them to pieces, so I decided to start taking classes on metal-smithing in my mid 20s.
Over the years I have had many fabulous instructors show me many different techniques, they have helped me hone my skills in this medium and pushed me beyond what I thought possible. I'm excited to help people begin their own journey into metal-smithing to carry on the community and pass down the knowledge to help people become the artist they wish to be. I started doing workshops back in 2015 and absolutely loved the experience. Seeing peoples faces light up as they watched a piece go from idea to reality was such a joy for me. I have given many workshops since then in both jewelry making and fabric sculpture and hope to do so for a long time.
