
The contact hours in this course will be spent learning the following basic principles; asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques. These hours will be a mix between analytical training pertaining to teaching methodologies and practice of these techniques and guided practice of the techniques themselves. Both areas will receive substantial emphasis. This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

THIS COURSE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THE U OF U EMPLOYEE TUITION REDUCTION OR EMERITUS DISCOUNTS. This course meets on Canvas for the 1st half of the semester and then meets in-person beginning the 2nd half of the semester (first in-person meeting is June 23).
