Yoga Teacher Training 2
Academic Noncredit
The contact hours in this course will be spent enhancing the learning process of the following principles: asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation, and other traditional yoga techniques. These hours will be a continuation of a mix between analytical training pertaining to teaching methodologies and practice of these techniques and guided practice of the techniques themselves. The principles learned in this course will complete a student's 75 contact hour requirement of Yoga technique instruction. This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Online book and material fees may be added up until the first week of class. Students may opt out during the first two weeks of class. THESE COURSES DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE U OF U EMPLOYEE TUITION REDUCTION OR EMERITUS DISCOUNTS. Students will meet in an accelerated capacity for the Yoga Teacher Training Course 2 on designated Saturdays between 9am-4pm, as training hours and curriculum require. Saturday dates for Fall 2024 are: Aug 24, Sep 7 & 28, Oct 19, and Nov. 16. A two hour mandatory Intro to YTT Course 2 meeting will be scheduled for Thur. Aug 22 @ 6-8pm over Zoom. Please email R.Davenport@utah.edu with questions about Yoga Teacher Training. Students participating in this certificate will register for courses with the ESSFC subject code. Classes are graded on a "satisfactory" or "unsatisfactory" basis. Enrollment for this class closes after the first week of class. Students complete all exams and assignments as part of this certificate program.
