This course is part one of a four-part series designed to provide a comprehensive education in Pilates instruction, blending theory with practical application to prepare graduates for professional certification. Topics covered through the series include, but are not limited to, the history of Pilates, anatomical knowledge, teaching methodology, class management and practical skills. This part of the series will examine mat instruction extensively.
This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.
Online book and material fees may be added up until the first week of class. Students may opt out during the first two weeks of class. This hybrid class will meet in-person on the following dates/times for Fall 2025: August 16 (Sat) @ 9-3pm, August 26 & 28 (T/Th) @ 6-9pm September 13 (Sat) @ 9-3pm. Class will meet via Zoom on August 15 (Fri-online) @ 6-8pm. Students will collect the majority of their required hours on their own time. The last date to drop this class for a full refund is Monday, August 11, 2025.
