The course focuses on developing Advanced level of language and cultural proficiency in the Italian language enabling students to communicate in various target language contexts . The course aims at further developing students’ language skills through an advanced acquisition of vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge that will reinforce their understanding of diverse life experiences and facilitate fluent, appropriate, and culturally nuanced language interpretation and use. In particular, this course uses extensive reading, as well as film viewing and discussion, to develop writing skills in Italian.
This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.
Online book and material fees may be added up until the first week of class. Students may opt out during the first two weeks of class.
