The course focuses on developing advanced level of language and cultural proficiency in the Latin language enabling students to communicate in various target language contexts, e.g., (comprehension and translation of authentic ancient texts). The course aims at further developing students’ language skills through a more advanced acquisition of vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge that will reinforce the knowledge and understanding of diverse life experiences and facilitate fluent, appropriate, and culturally nuanced language interpretation and use.

This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course. Students can purchase any assigned hardcopy textbooks through our Campus Bookstore.
