Basic interviewing and counseling skills, relationship skills, formulation of counseling objectives and modes of intervention. Pre-practicum experience to prepare students to work with clients.

Note: This course meets in St George on three Tuesdays: 4:30 pm- 7:30pm May 7, 14, and 21. It continues on seven consecutive weekdays: 1:00 pm -05:00 pm Thursday and Friday June 6 and 7 then Monday-Friday June 10-14. Expect approximately ten hours of project work outside of class meetings.
