Academic Credit
This course investigates popular beliefs about language and discusses empirical studies concerning those beliefs. Students will learn to evaluate social science experiments, interpret quantitative data, and understand basic statistical concepts like hypothesis testing and statistical significance. BF

Note: This class meets during fall break, October 6 – 10th, from 8 am- 5 pm (there will be a lunch break). Students are required to attend each class session IN PERSON. In addition to time spent in the classroom, students will also be required to complete additional online lectures. assignments, or exams.
