This course investigates popular beliefs about language and discusses empirical studies concerning those beliefs. Students will learn to evaluate social science experiments, interpret quantitative data, and understand basic statistical concepts like hypothesis testing and statistical significance. QB, BF

Note: This class begins the week prior to spring semester, Tuesday-Saturday, Jan 2 – 6th. Class meets each day from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Sandy Center at 10011 Centennial Parkway, Suite 100, Sandy.
