Cardiopulmonary Management
Academic Credit

Knowledge of cardiovascular and pulmonary anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology; principles and clinical skills necessary to function as a member of the rehabilitation team throughout the continuum of care including critical care, acute care, pulmonary and cardiac rehab outpatient programs and risk factor modification and health promotion for patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnoses. Knowledge learned in this course for this patient population will include patient assessment, appropriate intervention in inpatient and outpatient settings, exercise testing and prescription, risk-factor modification and cardiovascular and pulmonary disease prevention.
