Class Sections For Canyoneering II: Advanced Ropework (PRTL 264)

Spring 2022 Section 1, Starting on: 03/28/2022

Students enrolling in this course need to possess the skills learned in Canyoneering I to take this class. This course will cover the technical canyoneering skills based on the ACA International Level 2 standards such as navigation, map reading, knot craft, anchors, rigging, on-rope techniques, companion rescue, ascending fixed ropes, passing a knot, and much more. This is the second course of three. This course has two pre-trip meetings. Class meets on-campus on Mar. 28 and Apr. 4. Attendance at both class meetings is mandatory. Field experience will be from Apr. 8th to Apr. 10th.
