AI at Work Micro-credential Highlights
AI courses are everywhere. Here’s why ProEd’s brand new AI at Work Micro-credential stands out.
Overview. The AI at Work Micro-credential equips professionals with the skills and confidence to use generative AI responsibly, effectively, and strategically in the workplace. Across three progressive courses—ChatGPT Fundamentals, Productivity with ChatGPT, and Augmented Intelligence at Scale—participants move from essential prompt-writing techniques to advanced customization, workflow design, and scalable adoption strategies. Emphasizing Augmented Intelligence, this series focuses on enhancing human expertise rather than replacing it, blending ethical safeguards with hands-on practice. By the end, learners will have developed practical AI tools, workflows, and a portfolio of artifacts directly applicable to their specific roles, positioning them to drive productivity, innovation, and responsible AI adoption in any industry.
Applied Learning. Unlike self-paced online courses, this program is guided, personalized, and accountable. Participants practice in live labs, receive instructor and peer feedback, and demonstrate mastery by presenting artifacts from their portfolio. Learners who complete all three courses are awarded an AI at Work Micro-credential, signaling to employers that the learner can apply AI responsibly, measure its business impact, and guide adoption in their organization.
Technical Requirements. These courses use OpenAI’s ChatGPT as an instructional tool, with concepts transferable to other AI products. Participants should have access to ChatGPT (Plus or equivalent) to ensure sufficient memory and context capacity for extended prompts, iterative workflows, and project artifacts. The free version of ChatGPT may be limited for these courses.
