Social Policies and Programs: Advocacy and Analysis for Justice

This is the first of two required 3-credit courses in the Macro sequence of the MSW Program. This course develops social workers’ knowledge of social policies and programs that affect individuals and communities, with a focus on federal and state provisioning to support impoverished and marginalized populations. Students examine various phases of policy development, and practice skills related to advocacy and policy analysis.

Registration Information: If you are a matriculated student, you must register for credit classes using the Campus Information System (CIS). If you are new to the University, you must first submit an application to the Admissions Office, then register using the Campus Information System (CIS).
