My trip to Japan with GoLearn was educational, exciting, exhilarating, and exhausting (in a good way)! Most of all, Mimi and Kuma were simply extraordinary. One member of our group said it best: "How will we ever be able to take another trip without Mimi and Kuma?" Our experience was enhanced by the month of classes held before our departure as well as being able to become acquainted with each other. Because of the educational aspect of the trip, it attracted really interesting, engaging people who were so congenial and such fun to travel with.

From the crack of dawn until the last light, even into starlight, members of the group shared aspects of their experience with these mediums as they sought to find their own voice while exploring the wetlands of the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. The encouraging and inspirational voices of the group members ... still resonate with me as I process and draw on this intimate study of Centennial Valley. Most of all, I will long for the camaraderie of this cadre of fellow photography and writing enthusiasts, eager to share whatever time it takes to go on a shoot or reflect in essay.

My experience was fabulous... The history, fabulous meals, truffle hunt and getting to spend time with Felice were unbelievable. I can't say enough about our wonderful leaders, Giuliana and Christoph. They were knowledgeable, funny and made us feel like family. Who else could get us up and make fools of ourselves on "Karaoke night" and have a good time? The new friends we made were great and I look forward to seeing them again. Italy gets a hold of your soul and holds on to it like no other country I have visited. I can't explain it, but it is a memory I will cherish forever.

Traveler's Testimonial

Cuba is a country of so many wonderful diversities and yet with so many problems. The people were unusually friendly and open, especially to Americans. They would come up to us and ask us where we were from and were pleasantly surprised to hear we were from 'America...' and Utah. U-tah? Where the heck is that? We had to tell them it's between Las Vegas and California, and then they got it. Beverly N., Cuba 2015 Participant

Rob and I met in Japan 47 years ago and have been back several times. Mimi and Kuma gave us the best trip ever. We passed a National Geographic Tour, costing twice as much, eating the same wonderful lunch we had, and they and their guide looked bored. They didn't have the chair of the U of U Architecture leading their tour. We will go with Go Learn again. Nancy F., Japan 2015 Participant
