Fall 2021 Section 1, Starting on: 09/01/2021

Attendance at first class meeting is mandatory. Drops not possible after the second day following the first class meeting. Backpacking and overnight camping. Field experience September 10-12. This course provides students with an introduction or advancement of overnight backpacking techniques. Students will learn how and what to pack and become familiar with Leave No Trace skills. We will cover backcountry skills, safety, consumerism, and environmental and natural resource topics associated with outdoor recreation.
