Rock Climbing I: Indoor
Academic Noncredit

This is a basic rock climbing class which focuses not only on belaying, knot tying, and safety concerns, but also on bouldering, climbing techniques, and route reading. Low ropes elements will also be incorporated into the class. Additionally, core curriculum includes environmental and resource management aspects of this popular sport.

This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Spring 2019 Section 1, Starting on: 01/07/2019

Attendance at first class meeting is mandatory. Drops not possible after the 2nd day following this meeting. Classes meeting on Jan. 7 will take place at the University of Utah, and will meet in HPR E 206. All the Following Classes meet at Momentum Millcreek (3173 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84109). Climbing Jan. 14, 28, Feb. 4, 11, 25, Mar. 4, 18, 25, Apr. 1, 8, 15, 22. Fee includes use of Momentum equipment and during designated class hours.
