Canyoneering I: Technical Canyoneering

1st of a 3-course series. Also prepares for American Canyoneering Association (ACA) Recreational Canyon Leader and Professional Canyon Guide Certifications. Features ACA Technical Canyoneering course curriculum.

Spring 2018 Section 1, Starting on: 03/13/2018

including following dates:

Attendance at both meetings (prior to the field program) is mandatory. Drops not possible after the 2nd day following the first class meeting. 1st of a 3- course series, but may be taken on its own. Technical skills taught based on the ACA international Level 1 standards such as logistics and safety, Leave No Trace ethics, basic knots, intro to anchors and rigging, rappelling and belaying, self-rescue and more. Class meets March 13 & March 27. Overnight camping field trip all day Fri-Sun March 30 - April 1.
