Class Sections For Canyoneering I: Technical Canyoneering (PRTL 263)

Spring 2022 Section 1, Starting on: 03/22/2022

This course will focus on the technical canyoneering skills based on the ACA international Level 1 standards such as logistics, safety, Leave No Trace ethics, basic knots, introduction to anchors and rigging, rappelling and belaying, self-rescue, and more This course is the first of a 3-course series, but may be taken on its own. This course has two pre-trip meetings. Class meets on-campus on Mar. 22 and Mar. 29. Attendance at both class meetings is mandatory. Field experience will be from Apr. 1st to Apr. 3rd.
