Employment Law Certificate

Employment law is a branch of contract law that deals with relationships between employers and employees. This online course covers statutes such as the National Labor Relations Act, the Railway Labor Act, and other statutes dealing with public employees.

Benefits

The course will lead to a better understanding of torts that can be brought against an employer, examine discrimination in hiring and offer students the chance to gain a greater understanding of age discrimination in hiring and in retirement. Upon completion, students will be awarded a University of Utah Employment Law Certificate.
