Developing Cultural Competency in the Treatment of Healthcare Workers

This two-hour module will explore the culture of medicine and its impact on healthcare workers, as well as practical recommendations for engaging healthcare worker clients. This course is appropriate and ideal for all mental health professionals and trainees, including psychologists, social workers, counselors, psychiatrists, and others who treat healthcare workers. Topics covered include burnout, trauma, and creating a clinician-friendly practice. Learners will leave with tools and resources to exhibit cultural competency, foster the therapeutic alliance, and adapt their practice to meet the unique needs of healthcare workers. This course is sponsored by the Delaware Psychological Association and has been approved for 2 CE credits. To be eligible for CEs, learners must complete the entire course.
