Course Description

This advanced course-our third in the AI at Work Micro-credential-helps professionals build lasting, practical AI skills. Focused on business applications, this workshop goes further by emphasizing Augmented Intelligence (AuI): using AI to enhance, not replace, human expertise. Building on the first two courses in the AI at Work Micro-credential, this course equips participants to move beyond experimentation into responsible, measurable adoption. Participants will enter the course with a defined workflow and authentic work artifact, ensuring that learning activities are directly grounded in their real-world context. They will engage with industry-specific examples, test workflows in live labs, and address ethical and human-in-the-loop safeguards to keep AI trustworthy. Over six hours, participants will create and refine an AI-augmented workflow and produce a portfolio of six business-ready artifacts. The learning objectives for this course include: 1) identify and frame real-world opportunities for Augmented Intelligence (AuI), selecting workflows where AI can enhance human expertise while maintaining ethical oversight, 2) design and implement responsible AI workflows, including Prompt Playbooks, Guardrails Sheets, and Use-Case Canvases aligned with business goals and industry context; 3) measure and communicate the business value of AI adoption, developing dashboards and business cases that translate ROI into clear, executive-ready communication, 4) drive adoption and demonstrate applied mastery, creating change management strategies that overcome resistance, deliver quick wins, and showcase a portfolio of six business-ready artifacts. This course uses OpenAI's ChatGPT as an instructional tool, with concepts transferable to other AI products.
