Art & Motion (Age 8-12)
Youth Education

Transform into a moving masterpiece in this one-week summer adventure! Inspired by the dazzling work of contemporary artists, young creators will craft their own spectacular masks and props, then bring them to life through dance and movement. Each day brings new discoveries as we blend visual arts with creative movement. Kids will design, build, and dance their way through a week of imagination and joy. The grand finale? A Friday showcase where our young artists perform in their own wearable art creations! Co-sponsored with Utah Museum of Contemporary Art & Ririe Woodbury Dance Company.

Learning Objectives:
  • Explore principles of visual art and creative movement through hands-on activities
  • Design and construct wearable art pieces using a variety of artistic materials and techniques
  • Develop confidence in performance skills by bringing creations to life in a final showcase
