The Art of Manga (Age 14-17)

From expressive characters to dynamic page layouts, Manga is a world rich with artistic tradition. In this camp, students will explore the history and evolution of Manga while learning how Japanese language and culture influence the art form. They will study a variety of Manga styles, practice professional drawing and inking techniques, and gain hands on experience with the tools artists use to bring stories to life. Throughout the week, students will design and illustrate their own Manga pages, developing both their artistic confidence and storytelling skills. This camp is perfect for fans of Anime and Manga who are excited to create their own original work.
