UMOCA One-Day Workshop: Printmaking (Age 12-14)

This camp combines fun and sustainable printmaking experimentation with a dose of art history, connecting students to the rich historical and contemporary roots of printmaking. They will also discover alternative applications for their prints, such as greeting cards, cloth patches, collages, artist books, and more! Co-sponsored with Utah Museum of Contemporary Art.

Learning Objectives:
  • Explore foundational printmaking concepts through hands-on experimentation with sustainable techniques
  • Understand the historical and contemporary significance of printmaking as an art form
  • Create original prints and apply them to projects such as greeting cards, patches, collages, and artist books

This is a one day camp. Camp held at Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, 20 West Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Students should bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. Reminder emails will be sent out before camp begins and will include location notes and other details.
