Farm to Table Cooking (Age 8-17)

In this interactive online camp, students will explore the journey of food from farm to kitchen while learning to prepare simple, healthy recipes. Campers will discover the importance of seasonal produce, sustainability, and choosing fresh, local ingredients. Along the way, they'll practice essential kitchen skills like washing, cutting, seasoning, and safe food handling. By the end of the week, students will understand how fresh ingredients impact flavor and nutrition - and gain confidence to create balanced meals at home!

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn essential kitchen skills including washing, cutting, seasoning, and safe food handling

Class Sections For Farm to Table Cooking (Age 8-17) (YEEMT 19)

Summer 2026 Section 1, Starting on: 06/22/2026

This is an online camp. You will be responsible for purchasing your own groceries. We will contact you with a supply list closer to when the camp starts. Parental warning: students may be using kitchen appliances/equipment such as knives, microwave, stove/oven, etc. and the recipes will make around 4-6 servings per meal. If you're registering within 10 days of camp starting, please contact us for the supply list. Recipes may contain nuts, meat, shellfish, dairy, or other food allergens/dietary restrictions. Please email us in advance with questions. Reminder emails will be sent out before camp begins and will include location notes and other details.
