Creative Writer's Workshop (Age 14-17)

Writing takes a lot of practice and know-how. This class will bring your kid's ideas, creativity, and love of words together to help them craft a story. They will learn how to develop compelling plots and characters, how to hook an audience, and ways to weave memorable themes and captivating descriptions into the narrative. They will be writing by hand every day and learning what it takes to make writing part of their everyday life.

Learning Objectives:
  • Practice foundational creative writing skills including plot development, character creation, theme building, and descriptive language
  • Develop confidence in writing through daily handwritten exercises that encourage consistent creative habits
  • Learn techniques for crafting engaging narratives that capture an audience through strong openings, vivid imagery, and clear structure
