The Art of Writing (Age 9-11)

In this exciting camp, young writers will discover how to bring their stories to life with vivid words, master the art of outlining, and unlock the magic of similes and metaphors. Plus, they will learn fun proofreading tips to polish their work like a pro. Whether crafting tall tales or personal adventures, campers will have a blast turning their ideas into unforgettable stories!

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn how to use vivid language, similes, metaphors, and outlining techniques to strengthen creative writing skills
  • Develop confidence in crafting original stories through guided activities and daily writing practice
  • Practice age appropriate proofreading strategies to revise and polish written work effectively
