Intro to ASL (Age 10-12)
Youth Education
This fun and interactive camp introduces beginners to the basics of American Sign Language. Campers will learn essential conversational vocabulary, sentence structure, numbers, and the alphabet. They will also build a vocabulary of everyday words, like food, objects, and actions, while practicing communication in a whole new way.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn foundational American Sign Language skills including the alphabet, numbers, and essential conversational vocabulary
- Understand basic ASL sentence structure and apply it through guided practice and interactive activities
- Develop confidence communicating using everyday signs related to food, objects, actions, and common situations
