Making the World Less Awkward: Introduction to Human Factors & Egronomics (Age 15-17)
Youth Education

Have you ever wondered why some apps feel confusing, why certain chairs hurt your back, or why accidents happen even when people try their best? This camp introduces students to the science of human factors—the study of how people interact with technology, tools, and environments. Students will explore how our minds (attention, memory, decision-making) and bodies (size, strength, posture) influence design and usability. Through hands-on projects like setting up ergonomic furniture and analyzing real-world examples, students will learn how to create systems that enhance performance, improve safety, and increase user satisfaction. Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.
