Scratch: Programming Robots (Age 8-10)

This camp is designed for students with basic knowledge of Scratch programming who are ready to explore the exciting world of robotics. Using Scratch as a foundation, students will learn how to integrate coding with robotics technology. They will work with motors, gears, pulleys, and sensors to design and build interactive projects. Through engaging, hands-on activities, students will develop problem-solving skills and discover how programming brings mechanical components to life. All materials will be provided for use during camp. Co-sponsored with Future Technology Education.

Learning Objectives:
    • Introduction to engineering design
    • Introduction to basics of programming using Scratch software
    • Introduction to belts, pulleys and motor speeds
    • Critical thinking and problem solving
