This summer, unleash your child's inner adventurer at our Scuba Explorers Camp! Perfect for young aquatic enthusiasts, this unique program offers a safe, fun, and educational introduction to the underwater world—all in a controlled pool environment. Campers will learn real scuba skills, build confidence, and discover a lifelong love for the ocean. Through SSI's Blue Oceans conservation program, kids will also explore marine life and learn how to protect our underwater ecosystems. While this is a recognition program (not a certification course), the skills gained will give your child a head start toward becoming an Open Water Diver in the future. All activities are supervised by certified SSI Explorers Instructors with a low participant-to-instructor ratio for maximum safety and personal attention. Co-sponsored with Neptune Divers.

Class Sections For Scuba Explorers (Age 8-12) (YESPR 20)

Summer 2026 Section 1, Starting on: 06/01/2026

Participants must be comfortable in the water and able to swim 40 feet (12 meters) without assistance. Campers need to bring their own mask, snorkel, fins, swimsuit, towel, and a water bottle. Personal diving gear (mask, snorkel, and fins) is mandatory for this course. Having comfortable and well-fitting equipment makes a significant difference in the water, which is why we offer a special discounted student rate on gear purchased at Neptune Divers. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you in selecting the perfect equipment for your child. Camp held at Neptune Divers, 2445 S 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84106 For Monday-Thursday. Friday students will need to be dropped off and picked up at Mountain Point Lake & Hotsprings, 14557 S 790 W, Bluffdale, UT 84065 for snorkeling. Parents are welcome to attend on Friday. Participants must have a guardian's signature on all paperwork, including a medical questionnaire. A doctor's sign-off is required if any "yes" answers are given on the medical form.
