Game Design: Wreckless Racers (Age 9-11)
Youth Education
Buckle up! Using Unreal Engine, students will learn the basics of creating a furiously fast racing game. They will tune their vehicle to their own liking and design a course filled with obstacles, ramps, speed boosts, and power-ups. Whether inspired by Forza or Mario Kart, students will leave with a playable prototype that can be taken home and further developed. Co-sponsored with Utah Division of Games.
- Design a custom racing track using Unreal Engine
- Tune vehicle settings and incorporate obstacles, ramps, and power-ups
- Build a playable racing prototype that demonstrates core game design principles
