Game Design: Wreckless Racers (Age 9-11)
Youth Education
Buckle up! Using Unreal Engine, students will learn the basics of creating a furiously fast racing game. They will tune their vehicle to their own liking and design a course filled with obstacles, ramps, speed boosts, and power-ups. Whether inspired by Forza or Mario Kart, students will leave with a playable prototype that can be taken home and further developed. Co-sponsored with Utah Division of Games.
Learning Outcomes:
- Experience learning Unreal Engine software
- Program essential game mechanics
- Learn fundamentals of racing game development
- Demo other students' projects to provide constructive feedback
